Jurginho’s agent has revealed that the midfielder could be set to extend the deal to Chelsea because he rejected rumors of apparent interest from Juventus.
The Italian international has been linked with the move to Turin, where his former Napoli and Chelsea boss Maurizio Rowe is in charge.
However, Jorginho’s agent – Joao Santos – insists he has heard nothing from the 28-year-old Juventus.
And Santos said that Jorginho could extend his contract at the Premier League club, where he was contracted until 2023.
“Juventus? I fell around, but I never had any contact with them,” he told Calciomarcato on Tuesday.
“To this day, I know absolutely nothing about this situation.
“He is very happy in London, where he is demonstrating his qualifications and where he still has another three-year contract. And he is likely to join a fourth and inaugural negotiation to renew the contract with Chelsea in July.
“It is not known what Juventus’ strategy might be, but these are our future plans and I repeat today, neither Juventus nor any other team has come forward in Jorge.”
Jorginho made 26 Premier League appearances, scoring four goals, before the campaign stalled due to a coronavirus epidemic this season.
