Two-time Formula One world champion Fernando Alonso

According to his manager Flavio Bryator, Fernando Alonso is fresh and motivated to return to Formula One.

Four-year strategic move away from the series after the 2018 season with two-time F1 champion Alonso McLaren, who kept document issues with their Honda engines.

Last week saw a domino-effect in F1 when Sebastian Vettel will leave Ferrari at the end of the 2020 season, the start of which was delayed by a coronavirus epidemic.

Vettel’s seat will be taken by Carlos Sanz and Daniel Ricardo will move to McLaren, leaving Renault’s spot blank.

McLaren chief Jacques Brown was skeptical that Alonso would drive the car because he wanted a winning car, but Bryato hinted that the Spaniard could return to the F-1 much earlier.

“Fernando is inspired,” he told La Gazeta dello Sport.

“One year in Formula 1 has made him better. He has isolated himself and I see him more refined and ready to come back.”

Bryato compared Vettel’s situation at Ferrari last season, where he joined Lewis Hamilton’s team, with one experienced in Alonso’s first stunt at McLaren, surpassing newborn Charles Leclerc.

“At F1 it was always about the winning recipe.”

“You must have a driver who concentrates on the World Championships and another who collects big points, snatches them from their rivals.

“Vettel paid for the boy to come to the team very quickly. What happened to McLaren with Hamilton surprised him and the team.

“Two drivers of the same level in a team eventually put each other’s position at risk.”
