Barcelona midfielder Arthur has no interest in joining Juventus and is desperate to stay at Camp Nou for “many years”.
The Spanish report suggests that Juve is ready to try to bring Brazil to Turin internationally, perhaps instead of Miralem Poznik, whose future looks uncertain.
Mundo Deportivo claimed on Monday that Barca had allowed Juva to speak to Arthur, adding that Serie A leaders could offer the terms of the contract without the help of Blugrana, whose players had already agreed to pay a per cent wage during the coronavirus epidemic.
However, Arthur, who joined the La Liga champions from Grimio in 2018 on a potential pot 39 million deal, sees his future in Catalonia.
In a statement sent to Mundo Deportivo, he said: “There will always be speculation, but sincerely, my idea is very clear: the only option for me is to continue in Barcelona.
“I feel very safe and comfortable. I feel really good here and more, I am grateful to the club and the technical staff for their confidence. This is another reason why I am so clear that my only wish is to continue.
“The supposed interest of great clubs is always a compliment and a positive sign for anyone, but my mind has been playing here for many years.
“I have always wanted to be at Bar এবংa and I want to be BlueGrana for a long time without any questions. Every day, I feel more comfortable here, in the team, in the club and in the city. Also, I love both the people and the culture. [and] I feel a lot of support from the fans.
“I’m 100 percent focused on getting back to work and playing if possible because I’m really interested in improving here and fighting more trophies.”
Despite 23-year-old Arthur’s injury, there have been 23 appearances for Bar বারa this season.
