Hansie Flick has vowed that Manuel Neuer will be Bayern Munich’s first-choice goalkeeper next season.
And in a clear warning to undermine Bayern’s intellectual system, Flick insisted that the incoming Alexander Nobel would face a fight for a seat on the bench.
Neuer and Bayern are in talks to sign a deal with experienced Germany that has less than 15 months left.
The 34-year-old has rejected the talks, saying he wants a new five-year deal and both sides appear to want a proposal to keep Neuer at the club.
“Manuel Neuer is obviously our first one, nothing will change in the upcoming season. Alexander Noble knows that,” head coach Flick told Kicker, considering him one of the most important part of Bayern’s squad.

The 23-year-old will join Bayern at the end of the season after establishing himself as one of Germany’s best young shot-stoppers.
It remains to be seen where Neuer’s first-team chances at Bayern appeared.
And Flick made it clear that he was not releasing the current sensitive Soven Ulrich to Newark, who has a year left on his Bayern contract.
“Alexander Noble will have the same faith and admiration as our team’s other goalkeepers and players,” Flick said.
“We want to develop him further, but it’s clear that the performance is for Bayern. And at the moment Soven Ulrich is doing really well.”
