Duke big man Vernon Carey Jr. announced Friday that he will enter the 2020 NBA Draft and become the latest player to leave the Blue Devils.
The 6-foot-10, 270-pound Kerry Duke has averaged 17.8 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks and was named National Newcomer of the Year by Atlantic Coast Conference and US Basketball.
Kerry wrote on Twitter, “On the biggest stage in college basketball, I loved competing with my teammates.
“We’ve made memories that I’ll forever cherish. I’ve grown as a player and person and I feel ready to take the next step.”

Kerry, a former first-round pick, joined fellow freshmen Cassius Stanley and sophomore Trey Jones as Duke Under Classman to enter the NBA draft.
