Former England and Arsenal defender Kenny Sansom has been hospitalized after falling ill.

Admission to the 611-year-old hospital was confirmed via his Twitter account on Friday, as the carnivirus declined as a cause and no further details were given.

“Kenny is currently in the hospital. He is receiving good care and does not have a Cavid-19,” a tweet was sent.

“Kenny’s family and close friends urge the media to respect him and their privacy, as well as health care workers treating Kenny.”

He joined Arsenal from Crystal Palace in 1970, and later made about 400 appearances for the Gunners before playing for Newcastle United, QPR, Coventry City, Everton, Brentford and Watford.
