Eden Hazard has pictured training with Real Madrid as Los Blancos begin preparations for a possible La Liga reconstruction next month.

It was an injury-hit debut for Hazard, who joined Chelsea in a big money move ahead of the 2012-201 season.

The Belgian forward broke his right ankle during a 1-0 defeat at Levante in February, recovering from a similar injury sustained in the Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain in November.

Hazard, however, returned to training on Monday after the Spanish top flight was grounded in March due to a coronavirus epidemic.

Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale and Marcelo were featured on Madrid’s Twitter account, including several others in a gallery on the club’s official website.

A statement from Madrid read: “Two months later, the squad is back on the training pitch at Real Madrid City.

“The players have been working since 10 am on the instructions of Zinedine Zidane and the strict health rules of the LFP protocol for the COVD-19 epidemic.

“Divided into two shifts and different pitches, Real Madrid players perform their first individual practice with and without the ball.”

Barcelona returned to training on Friday with La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid.

He was absent from reports that Atletico’s Brazilian left-hander Renan Lodhi had tested positive for carnivirus, the club hinted at the situation in a message on Twitter: “Renan Lodi greets you from home. See you on the pitch soon!”

La Liga has yet to set a return date, but President Xavier Tebas said on Sunday that he was targeting re-election from June 12 and that matches were being held every day for 35 days.

Bar ২a led Madrid by two points after 227 rounds of La Liga suspensions.
