Paul Pogba should be targeted by Inter if they have the financial capacity to contract together, according to Nerazzurri the Great Giuseppe Bergomi.
Manchester United star Pogba has long been linked with Real Madrid’s departure from Old Trafford and former club Juventus have been cited as the main culprits.
Inter coach Antonio Conti, who worked with Juve Pogba, has done a lot of business with Premier League clubs since his return to Italy, bringing Romalu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Christian Eriksen and Ashley Young to San Siro, and Victor Musa with his loan. Fenerbahce to contact his former Chelsea boss.
Bergomi, who has won a Serie A title, a Coppa Italia and three UEFA Cups in his illustrious inter-career career, thinks Pogba fits his profile with the kind of talent the club should be targeting.
“If you have the financial strength to go and get him, you have to do it immediately,” he told La Gazeta dello Sport.
“It’s true that he may not have been his best in recent seasons, but he will return to a football he knows well.
“He doesn’t need to adapt and can leave a mark instantly. He will continue to be influential in Syria even after the physical substance he received outside of his technical skills.
“There are a few players like him around. Pogba is 27 years old and will be back in Italy just in time to reach the final in terms of quality.”

In Pogba’s first leg in Italy, he won the Serie A title four times and the Coppa Italy twice, playing under Conti for two seasons in Turin before the coach took charge of the Italian national team.
Bergomi added, “Conte can bring out the best in him like in the past.”
“For Inter, it would be a coup to help challenge them instantly, but I think they have to give up some.
“If they aim to build something for the long term, I’m sure about the idea of investing like a player [Sandro] Tonali or [Manuel] Locatelli. “
