LSU freshman forward Trendon Watford announced on Twitter that he was announcing in favor of the NBA draft.
Watford is the third freshman in the last two days to say he will be a supporter, joining Duke’s second-team AP All-American Vernon Carey Jr. and Arizona guard Josh Green.
He was named to the Freshman All-SEC squad after averaging 1.6 points and .2 rebounds in his one season with the Tigers.
Watford shot 1.6 percent from the floor and got seven double-doubles, three of his last five games before the season was shortened by the carnivorous epidemic.
A solid ball handler for his size who ends up at the rim, this 19-year-old is considered a second-round pick.
