The Peruvian club announced on Saturday that the 16-year-old right-hander from Manchester City Alianza Lima has agreed to a contract to sign Kluwerth Aguilar.

Aguilar, who previously said he expects to model his game with Dani Alves, will switch to City on May 27, 2021, at the age of eight.

The teenage defender debuted while at school last November and showed the final defeat of the Primera division against Deportivo Binacional. He played in the first nine teams in his new career.

“Going to town is something of a big career for me. I’m glad they signed me,” Aguilar said.

“It’s a club with players, coaches and fans that are all awesome. My goal is to be an outstanding player in the first team.

“I am glad that the possibility of moving to Europe when I was an Alianza player came to me.”

Alianza will receive a percentage of any future sales, according to a statement: “Manchester City have seen Cleverworth Aguilar capable of playing at the highest level within the policy of signing players with great potential.

“Alianza Lima is proud that a footballer on her team can connect her future with one of the most renowned clubs in the world.”

Aguilera could well follow in the footsteps of Evangel Herrera, who joined the Premier League champions from Atletico Venezuela in 2017 and sent a loan to FC New York City. After a spell in Huiska, Herrera is now in Granada.

A part of the New York City City Football Group, which has Melbourne City, Montevideo City Torque, Girona, Yokohama F. Owned or owned by Marinos, Sichuan Jeune, and Mumbai City.
