Joan Mir has followed Alex Rinse by signing an extension of contract with Suzuki and declaring it a “dream come true” to stay with the team.
After his first MotoGP season last year, when he collected 92 points in twelfth place, Mir agreed to a two-year deal.
The 22-year-old Spanish Rinse joined Suzuki’s commitment through the 2021 and 2022 campaigns, which delighted the former Moto 3 champion.
“I am delighted to have signed with Suzuki for two more years – renewal is the best thing that can happen and it is a dream come true again! It is really important for me to continue because now I have more time and more time to learn. Show, ”Mir said.
“Two years may go by fast, but I’m ready to reach a higher level, and we’re working every day to make that happen.
“I am also very satisfied on a personal level because I have a very good team and crew around me.
“I really want to thank everyone at Suzuki for my confidence in me and let me see if I can achieve the results we have been able to achieve.”

Mir and Rinse are hopeful that their bikes will soon be back, as the effects of the ongoing coronavirus crisis have eroded this year’s MotoGP calendar.
Races in Germany, the Netherlands and Finland have recently been canceled due to the epidemic, although it is still expected that 10 events will be held in 2020.
