Patrick Chung and the New England Patriots have agreed to a two-year contract extension, according to a detailed report.
The deal puts Chung under contract with New England until 2023, at the age of 336.
Experienced security Chung received a 3 3 million signing bonus and now stands at. 12.8 million over the next four years.
The Reconstruction Agreement provided the Patriots with some much-needed pay cap relief, creating 25 925,000 in cap space.
The 34th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, Chung has been the mainstay of his New England secondary for almost all of his time, having spent 10 of his 11 seasons with the Patriots in the 2013 campaign with the Philadelphia Gols.
Since joining the Patriots in 2014, Chung starts 822 out of 911 of the 2 regular season games.
He also started all 12 New England play-off games on his way to the Super Bowl after the 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018 seasons, all three of which were championships.
