Lille President Gerard Lopez labeled Gabriel Magalhais as “an absolute machine” as defender attracted interest from Everton.

The 22-year-old Gabriel has played for Lilley to become the reported target for Everton and fellow Premier League clubs Arsenal and Chelsea.

Lopez confirmed that the Brazilian wanted a move and had several offers for the defender.

“It’s true that he wants to go and try something else. We haven’t made that decision yet, but he has received several offers,” he told Sky Sports.

“I feel he’s closer to one club than the others, but nothing has happened yet so we’ll see.

“I respect the player very much. I don’t want to say anything else. I have the system, and we saw that work with Nico. [Nicolas Pepe], For any player I have a certain value in mind and at the end of the day the choice of player will go wherever you want to play. That is my respect for them. “

Gabriel appeared 24 Ligue 1 for Lille this season before the campaign was postponed due to a coronavirus epidemic.

Lopez believed that Gabriel was one of Europe’s elite defenders and eventually supported him in playing for Brazil.

“I think he’s one of the top five top center defenders in Europe at the moment. His stats, which can’t be covered very well outside of France, prove that his percentage of league wins is extremely physical that isn’t heard in the league very much.” Md.

“He’s an absolute machine, so to me, he’s probably on his way to a bigger club – if not this year – I’m sure he’s going to the Brazilian national team at one point.

“He’s been linked with two clubs in the UK and he’s obviously linked to other clubs who have interrogated or moved forward on his behalf, but we’re not in a hurry and we’re not playing now. The player is not on the pitch.”
