Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is keen to win the trophy this season, but is ready to wait for a resumption in the coronavirus epidemic.
The Laviga season was postponed last month due to COVID-19, which killed more than 217,000 people worldwide.
The clubs are set to return to training in Spain and the season could begin again in June.
Ramos wants to provide more silverware for Madrid, who finished second in La Liga and in the Champions League last 16 when the campaign closed.
“Everyone’s health is not at risk. I look forward to playing again, returning to the competition, playing in La Liga and the Champions League,” he told AS through Ramos at UNICEF Day.
“I’m hungry to end the season with the title, but first we have to wait for those who know all about it to make the right decision.”
There are more than 232,000 cases and the death toll exceeds 23,700 due to the severe coronavirus in Spain.
Ramos called on the people to follow the guidelines in the country.
“We can’t think that everything has already been achieved, we still have the seriousness of the matter,” the defender said.
“We need to adhere to our guidelines to end this virus and give scientists time to come up with a vaccine.”
