1ques years ago on this day in memory of Jack Rudolph for South Africa, April 26 was a date where the eyes of the NFL world were on Andrew Luck and Buck Mayfield.
Classy Rudolph had no answer for Bangladesh as he scored a double century in the first taste of Test cricket for the Proteas.
Fate made its way to Indianapolis, with Mayfield heading to Cleveland after finishing first in the NFL Draft.
We take a look at some of the most memorable moments from April 26 in the last few years.
2003 – Newborn Rudolph kills the Tigers
1 17 years ago when Rudolph – just 21 years old, appeared in the Tests in Chittagong, South Africa with an unbeaten 222 runs in Bangladesh’s innings and 60 runs.
Sanskrit left-hander Boyta kept Dippener at 429, which represents the tenth highest position in South African records and Test history.
Great Smith’s announcement finally made Bangladesh miserable and a great innings set the stage for a huge victory.
Rudolph has scored 2,222 runs in the longest format, playing a total of 48 Tests for the Proteas.

2011 – Creates an idea against the New Red Devils
The kind of performance that Manuel Neuer produced nine years later shows why he is quickly recognized as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
The record books include a 2-0 win over Manchester United in the Champions League semi-final home leg.
But the situation could have been worse had it not been for Neuer, who created the brilliant saving string.
Neuer left for Bayern Munich at the end of the campaign and has won seven Bundesliga titles, four DFB-Pocals and a Champions League with Die Rotten, as well as winning the 2014 World Cup with Germany.
2012 – Andrew’s fate with the Colts
After the Colts were first selected through an overall selection of the 2012 draft, big things were expected from Luck, who was looking for an expected successor to Patten Manning.
Fascinated at the college level with Stanford, he lost to the Heisman Trophy to Robert Griffin III – who finished second in the draft, and Luck was considered the best quarterback prospect of the year.
He led the Colts to every playoff in his first three years, including playing in the AFC Championship in the 2014 season.
However, Luck’s career was marred by injury and despite winning the NFL’s Comeback of the Year award in 2018, he suffered the biggest blow in league history in 1999.

2018 – The Browns go for Baker
After going 0-16 in the 2017 season, the Browns were at the top for the second year in a row.
Mayfield had a great college career, including winning the Heisman in 2017, but there was some controversy over his on-field antiques.
Still, the Browns went to Mayfield more than any other possibility, like Sam Darnold and Josh Allen.
In his first season, the Browns entered Mayfield with three wins in a week against the New York Jets as they led 7-6. In the 2019 season, where Mayfield started every game, the Browns were 6-10-10.
