Fans of wrestling that stretched from the 1960s and 70s on Attitude Night should be quite familiar with Gerald Briscoe. This is one of the reasons why he won the NWA Tag Team Championship with his brother Jack Mr. McMahon“Stooges”, along with Pat Patterson, has become a legend in the Brisco business for one reason or another.
In 1984, Gerald (aka “Jerry”) and Jack Georgia persuaded most shareholders in Championship Wrestling to sell their shares to a wider WWF and its owner, Vince McMahon. Since then, Gerald has reportedly been behind a regular presence at the agency
However, F4 Oneline’s Dave Meltzer reports that Brisco was also released from the company during a recent downturn following the coronavirus epidemic.
Brisco is currently 73 years old and was recently working as a talent scout and recruiter Nxt. He is only the third person to hold the WWF Hardware and WWW 24/7 Championships.
Brisco was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006 along with his brother.
