Sampdoria confirmed that the players had previously cleared the contracted coronavirus COVID-19.

Last month, Serie Outfit Sampdoria announced that Monolo Gabiadini, Omar Callie, Albin Ekdal, Antonio La Gumina and Morten Thorssby had tested positive for the coronavirus.

One of the club’s medical staff also signed a contract for COID-19, which caused a global catastrophe and brought the sport to a standstill.

On Thursday, however, Sampdoria announced that all members who had previously had the coronavirus were now free of the disease.

The Serie A was suspended indefinitely in March due to Covid-19, and the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has already announced that the 2019-20 season will be resumed until the health and safety of all concerned is guaranteed.

Italian sports minister Vincenzo Spadafora is expected to confirm the training date on May 3 as soon as possible at Serie A, with the current restrictions on current movement and outdoor activities coming to an end on May 3.

The FIGC said the season would be extended until August 2 due to giving clubs extra time to complete the rest of the promotion work.

When the league was stopped, Juventus cleared a point from Lazio at the top of the table through 26 games.
