The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has confirmed that Serie A will be suspended until at least June 14.
The Italian top plane has been on hold since March due to the coronavirus epidemic.
It was hoped that it would be clear from June 13 that the clubs would return to team training on Monday.
However, the league will not be able to resume early until June 15 now.
The FIGC’s decision is in line with the Italian government’s decision to suspend “sporting events and competitions of all kinds and divisions, public or private venues” until June 14 “as part of emergency measures to prevent infection.”
There have been about 226,000 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Italy and more than 32,000 deaths.
Italy recorded 99 new deaths on Monday, the lowest daily number since the beginning of March.
Lazio had a point clear at the top of the table when defending champions Juventus stopped the season.
