Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen insisted he was “very happy” that the La Liga champions’ contract had been suspended.
Ter Stegen’s current contract expires at the end of the 2021-22 season, and Germany have joined international Bundesliga holder Bayern Munich amid doubts over Manuel Neuer’s future in Bavaria.
Despite questions about his own future, Ter Stegen said it was not time to discuss a new treaty because of the coronavirus epidemic.
“We’ve already had our first conversation,” Ter Stegen said during an Instagram live with former club Borussia Monchengladbach.
“But as I said, we parked it. There are many more important things.
“I’m very happy here and the sports situation is good, the team is doing well. What more can I ask for?”
Ter Stegen joined Bar্সa in 2014 from Bundesliga costume Manchengladbach.
Since arriving at Camp Nou, the 28-year-old has won four La Liga titles and the Champions League among other honors.
When La Liga was suspended in the COVID-19 crisis in March, Real Madrid were twice as clear as Bar ২a in a 2-through match.
