Ward was the former NXT and United States champion before today Samoa Joe was spotted at the WWE Performance Center Commenting for RAW, it seems that the term was correct.
After the WWE debuted tonight, and the show’s announced team cut to the traditional cut, Joe Byron was seen standing to the left of Saxton and Tom Phillips.
Joe had earlier commented to return from injury after the start of the year. He returned as an active performer from his commentary role after being attacked by Chef Rollins and AOP – due to their feud against Kevin Owens.
However, in February, Joe will be injured during commercial filming on the USA Network. Not to mention the top issues, he was also given a thirty-day suspension for violating the WWE Wellness Policy. His appearance back on television indicates that the suspension has been effective, although it is unknown whether he has fully recovered from his original injury.
The future of Joey in the commentary booth is, well, uncertain. The next two episodes of Ra – Tonight and Next Week – were shot today, but it is unknown if Joe will comment for next week.
