Impact Wrestling Today it has confirmed that the uprising will now arise from a closed set in the presence of only the required staff and the show will no longer show traditional pay-per-view.
The Rebel will be aired as a two-part free television event on April 22 and 29 in the UK and Ireland via Fight Network UK as part of their weekly flagship series. The event will be repeated in 5 stars.
The company issued the following statement:
“In light of the restrictions on live events resulting from the coronavirus, Impact Wrestling will place its next major spectacle – Impact: Rebellion – in a closed set, with only the required staff present, according to the guidelines set forth by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)”
Meanwhile, viewers in the US will be able to watch the show for free on AXS TV and Twitch and Canada’s Fight Network.
In relation to the decision to leave the event behind closed doors, IMPACT also released a statement regarding the safety of their staff.
“The safety of Impact’s wrestlers, staff and fans is of paramount importance and, although somewhat disappointing, we are proud to have the opportunity to provide our loyal and enthusiastic audience, with some eventual failure that we need to fail our original plan.
