According to the latest WWE News WWE announced the release of several superstars due to budget cuts, including Luke Gallo, Carl Anderson, Drake Maverick, Leo Rush, Brian Myers, Heath Miller, “Slater”
Engel fought King Corbin (fka Baron Corbin) in his last match and lost them all to the grandest stage. The former RAW general manager was working as a producer backstage at the company.
The release comes as part of the talent spending cuts at the organization during the epidemic. Vince McMahon WWE had a press conference with employees earlier today and announced that the agency would be cut wide.
In addition to Angle, WWU has released nine more people so far. Aidan English, Drake Maverick, Kurt Hawkins, Carl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Heath Slater, Eric Young, EC3 and Leo Rush are still up.
The release of Carl Anderson and Luke Gallows shocked the WWE Universe as they took part in the WrestleMania Night 1 main event very recently. They were part of a Boneyard match that saw Undertaker defeat AJ Styles.
