The United States Golf Association (USGA) has not yet decided whether it will participate in this year’s US Open.
The Wing Foot Football Golf Club will host the 2020 edition of the majors in September, after the carnovirus epidemic was forced to recede from its original June date.
It remains to be seen, however, whether fans will attend the New York course.
The USGA issued a statement Monday, the same day New York Governor Andrew Cuomo urged sports organizations to get things back and running.

A statement from the USGA stated that “We have not yet made a final decision on whether Winged Foot Golf Club will be able to participate in the 2020 US Open.”
“Considering the reality of the epidemic, we are rebuilding the entire championship for everyone involved.
“We appreciate and understand everyone’s questions and will provide more information as soon as possible.”
The USGA also confirmed on Monday that eligibility for the US Open has been disqualified.
