La Liga president Javier Tebas hopes the league can return to the match on June 22, with the promised matches being played “every day for 35 days”.
The campaign was suspended in March due to the carnivirus epidemic, which killed more than 263,000 people worldwide.
Tebas regularly targets mid-June as the resumption date, and on Sunday he reaffirmed that goal.
“I don’t know. It will depend on the stages. I hope it will depend on June 12,” he told Movistar.
“It will depend on the spikes of the virus … the first and second sections will end at the same time.
“There will be football every day for 35 days” “
On Sunday it was confirmed that five players from across Spain’s top two divisions have tested positive for COVID-19.

Tebas said the result was better than expected and he hoped that all the players would be clear when La Liga started again.
“We hope almost no one will be infected to get back into the competition. If things were as they should be, they shouldn’t have been.”
“If five infected people show up at a club, it means a bit of negligence. We’re going to the top [of it].
“There’s a place where we have no control, that’s when the players and coaches go back home. They’re given a sheet of what they should do.”
