UFC Hall of Famer At Georges St Pierre The legend of Bruce Lee echoed “Be like water.”
The former UFC middleweight champion has always been able to find a way to successfully cope with a variety of adversities and challenges in his professional fighting life. By combining unusual training methods such as gymnastics to prepare for fights, he had to constantly look for new ways of training to stay ahead of the curve during his combat career. Even after the devastating pandemic that has plagued the lives of people around the world, St. Pierre – now retired – still regularly trains.
Under the current circumstances, all gyms have been closed down and fighters are unable to train as usual. However, Saint-Pierre believes it offers new, innovative and interesting ways to train fighters and keep themselves fit without going to the gym.
During a recent live session with the former UFC welterweight champion Tyrone Woodley On Instagram, Saint-Pierre says that martial artists need to always find ways to be creative. The Canadian ex-fighter also said that the ongoing situation is not ideal for the fighters to prepare for the coming fights but their opponents have this difficulty sharing with them, so those who can better adapt to the fighters will come up.
“As a martial artist, you always find a way to be creative. Even if you can’t go to the gym, you can find a way to train and do your own thing. There are many ways to do this. It will be difficult for everyone. It will be equally harsh for your opponent. So you are both in favor. You have to be creative. The one who can best deal with the opponent has the most success. “
