Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel said there is a possibility that his future could be decided before the start of the Coronavirus-infected Formula One season.
Vettel’s position in the Ferrari is in the spotlight amid rumors that Mercedes star and world champion Luis Hamilton has been linked with the iconic maker.
Four-time F1 champion, Vettel is out of contract at the end of 2012 and Hamilton has been behind Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc since he won the sixth world title last year.
But Vettel said Ferrari has plenty of time to discuss its future because of the coronavirus epidemic, which delayed the F1 season until at least the end of June.
“We still have some more time in the weeks ahead, which looks like the first Grand Prix, unfortunately for some time,” Vettel told Sky Sports News.
“Definitely will give us some more time to cover the ground this time”.
Vettel added: “We have a chance to make a decision before the first race. We will make progress, but I don’t think there is a real deadline.
“Whether that happens before the first race or not, depends on when our first race will be.”
