Watford defender Adrian Mariappa has revealed that he has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The three clubs announced six positive results on Tuesday after running 748 Tests on the players and staff of the top 19 teams in the Premier League on Tuesday.
Burnley confirmed that assistant Ian One had tested positive and that Marippa was surprised to find his Kavid-19 on Wednesday.
“You can feel completely fine and not actually get out of the house and still get the virus,” Mariappa told the Telegraph Sport.
“If it weren’t for that, I would have come back to training and tested this, but I would never have known that I had the virus and I would have continued to work as usual. That’s an obvious thing to think about.”
“I live with my three children, who are five, nine and 11 and my partner and obviously, I’m a little worried about them now.
“They’re all well and not showing any symptoms, but you can’t help but think about it and keep your distance once you’ve tested positive.”
Those who test positive will be self-isolated for seven days.
