COVID-19 brings global financial turmoil, Of the WWE Some decided on tight spending cuts, which resulted in the release of several superstars. One of the biggest names published Rusev, Luke Gallows, Carl Anderson, Jack Ryder, Kurt Hawkins and Heath Slater.

Several NXT superstars, including Leo Rush and Deona Purazo, were also released.

According to Dave Meltzer, WWE may be interested in signing some of the published names. When things get back to normal, there is also the possibility that WWE may reunite many of its published superstars.

The report also states that superstars released from the original roster may have a 90-day non-compete clause, and superstars released from NXT may have a non-compete clause of 30 days.
